I liked how in AC: Brotherhood Ezio can interact with his fallen recruits by closing their eyes and saying a few words to honor them. It's just too bad I don't get to do this often as I'm usually busy running away from guards or being killed myself while my recruits are dying around me.
I thought it would be nice to imagine a scene where all the assassins - not just Ezio - are gathered together to mourn one of their fallen comrades.
I personally think that this peice has a great concept, and I also wish they had more mourning actions for the AC games. The colors in the backround really set the theme of sadness and lamentation with the peachy-orange hue and the detail of the wind blowing is just beautiful. Although my inner critic screams for more diversity in the outfits, I recognize this as an amazing peice of art. Also, are there two girls in the picture or is it just my imagination? If so, I think more hints to that should be added. Thanks for your great work!
My recruits always had a tendancy to die in foreign countries, on missions with 99% success rates @_@ The Templars are the 1% that will not -die-.
....though if I were Ezio I would tromp to aformentioned countries and at least bring home the bodies. They were -Romans-, and deserve to be buried at home.
This is a beautiful picture. I honestly didn't know you could interact with their dead bodies... mostly because their dead bodies are never around me. >>' Ezio's like "I'll distract the guard, you get him from behind." It works too. But now knowing what I know, blargh, I am entirely thrilled someone decided to do a picture like this. As others say: the recruits get so little love.
I knew you could do that in ACR and AC3, but I never realized it was possible in ACB, mostly because I only had one recruit die, and he fell off of the Castel Sant'Angelo, so I didn't exactly try going after him...
This is an excellent piece. Love the concept, and the perspective. Well done!
I didn't know that! I gotta do that! I never knew that because my recruits never died on my watch. If I lost a recruit, it's because they fell in the water (my first master assassin was knocked into the warrior by a brute)
