Edmund is supposed to be in his teens here (close to twenty), I'm still struggling with making him look younger than I usually draw him.
After having a row with his father - incidentally leading to events that will change his life - young Edmund storms out and the family's manservant Walter goes after him to make sure he's okay. Walter has essentially been looking after Edmund since he was a child, when Edmund's father was mostly busy running the family business. They have a special relationship, although Edmund doesn't always even realize how much Walter does for him. Even now Edmund is still ranting about what an idiot his dad is being (teenage rebellion), practically oblivious to the fact that old Walter went out looking for him in the pouring rain to make sure the young master doesn't catch his death out in the cold. Walter listens patiently, secretly rolling his eyes and waiting for Edmund to cool down so he can gently coax him into getting back inside.
